Travel details
By plane: Munich Airport is approx. 50km from the venue. From here you can either take a rental car or take the train (S 1, direction “Neufahrn” to Munich central station/ “Hauptbahnhof” (see also “By train” below).
By car:
From the south: (A 8) follow A 995 at Autobahnkreuz München Süd (direction “Garmisch-Partenkirchen”). Approx 2km after the Munich city signs and right after crossing the river Isar, take the exit “Thalkirchen/ Großmarkthalle”. At the second traffic light take a left into Thalkirchener Straße. The venue is on the left after 400ms.
From the North/ West: If you approach Munich via A8 follow “Salzburg/ Garmisch/ Lindau” at the Autobahnkreuz München West until Kreuz München Süd/ West. Here you follow the “Salzburg” and “Munich City” signs onto A 96. When the highway ends, take a right following “Salzburg”. Go straight on and leave the highway at the “Thalkirchen/ Großmarkthalle” exit. At the first traffic light take a right into Thalkirchener Straße. The venue is on the left after 400ms.
If you approach Munich on A9 follow the highway until it ends. Here, follow “Salzburg”/ “Mittlerer Ring Ost” signs. Stay on the Ring for several kilometers, do NOT follow A 8 / Salzburg when the exit München-Ramersdorf comes. Instead keep on following the Ring and follow “Garmisch/ Lindau signs”. Right after crossing the river Isar take the exit “Thalkirchen/ Großmarkthalle”. At the second traffic light take a left into Thalkirchener Straße. The venue is on the left after 400ms.
From the East: Via A 92 change to A9 at Autobahnkreuz Neufahrn, then see above “from the North/ West”. From A 94 follow “Salzburg” signs at Autobahnkreuz München Ost and at Autobahnkreuz München Brunnthal change to A 995 (direction “Garmisch-Partenkirchen”) then see above “from the south”.
By train:
From Munich central station/ “Hauptbahnhof” take the Subway (U2, direction “Kolumbusplatz”) to station “Sendlinger Tor” where you change to U3 (direction “Fürstenried West” ) to station “Brudermühlstraße”. From here it is only a couple hundred meters to the venue (down Thalkirchner Straße with the “Vinzenz Murr” butcher to your left; venue is also on the left).
