IFSC
The International Federation of Sport Climbing hosts every major international climbing competition such as World and Continental Championships, World Cup series in Lead, Speed and Bouldering for seniors and international Youth competitions (European Youth Series, Youth World Championships). From next season on, the newly founded European Council (ECSC) of the IFSC will be responsible for all European competitions.

Deutscher Alpenverein
The German Alpine Club DAV with currently more than 815.000 members is not only the biggest Mountain Sports Association in the world but also one of the bigger Sports and Nature Conservation Organizations in Germany. Within its Elite Sports Department, the DAV is representing and developing Climbing, Skimountaineering and Expedition Mountaineering in Germany.

Bavarian Capital Munich
Munich, which is said to be the “Alpinistic Capital” of Germany, has always been a supporter of climbing competitions such as the 2005 World Championships and has always been interested in being a partner of climbing in general. So it is no surprise that after the 2009 EYS, Munich will stage another top climbing event in 2010: A Boulder Worldcup in downtown Munich!

DAV sections München and Oberland
This is a cooperation of the two biggest DAV sections (i.e. clubs within the DAV) with now more than 120.000 members altogether. München-Oberland is very active in competition climbing and has established a very successful youth climbing team during the past few years. Many of the team members rank among the best in the national climbing circuit or have even made it into the National Team. On top of that, München-Oberland stages the annual “Munich City Championships” – one of the biggest and most favored climbing competitions in Germany with several hundred competitors.

DAV climbing center Thalkirchen
This site is massive: With more than 4500m² of climbing faces it is the biggest artificial climbing site in the world and has established itself as one of the major climbing halls in Germany. Very popular and always crowded, the site offers enough lines for even the maddest of climbers and guarantees for the real pump with a maximum height of 18 meters and endless roof climbing. In the summer or even on mild winter days, the outdoor area is the place to be – and don`t miss the legendary concrete bouldering at the outdoor bouldering site!

VauDe – (pronounced fau`dee)
The classic German Mountain Sports company has been a partner for the DAV for several years now: VauDe supplies all the DAV instruction teams and is the official sponsor partner of the German National Climbing Team. The team members especially like the functional and stylish apparel of the Mountain climbing line. VauDe is also an official partner of the DAV climbing competitions and sponsors material prizes for the winners.

Edelrid
Edelrid is the brand partner of VauDe and stands for the ultimate competence when it comes to Alpine Safety: As a manufacturer of ropes, harnesses, helmets, biners and other alpine hardware, edelrid has invented many benchmark products such as the kernmantel rope that have revolutionized the vertical world and helped to make it safer. Edelrid supports the German National climbing Team with ropes and harnesses and provides the ropes for the DAV climbing competitions.

Bergleben
This is a web portal for the mountain enthusiast that covers every aspect of sports and leisure activities in the mountains. The information ranges from facts on the most favored touristic destinations in the Alps to reports on national and international competition climbing, rock climbing and alpinism. Being the official media partner of the DAV, bergleben.de covers all DAV climbing competitions with behind-the-scenes reports, interviews and videos.

Klettern
Since 1995 the climbing magazine Klettern has been right at the heart of climbing in all of its facets and has been covering everything from the most remote climbing destination up to the latest Sharma tick. Both the magazine and the corresponding website have always granted competition climbing an important place. Klettern is also one of the DAV media partners and in this function, klettern is reporting on DAV competitions on a regular basis and issues an annual special edition on competition climbing in cooperation with the DAV.

Climbing de
this is THE classic German web portal on climbing and also a DAV media partner: For more than 11 years now, climber and webmaster Martin Joisten has been providing his users with the latest news from the climbing world and has been giving climbing nerds a platform with his discussion forum, route database and online ticklist (long before a famous Swedish website copied it…;-). Here you also find the latest news on the German Climbing Team and the DAV competitions.
